I enjoyed the first part of the book ok. There's a fine line between cute and quirky characters and unrealistic, and this book was not always on the right side of that line. The reason for the 2 stars is due to the last half of the book only existi...

I decided to buy this after reading an excerpt, and I wasn't disappointed. The sections which deal with the early Christian gnostics and the Cathars are very well done and provide some intriguing information about the parallels between those groups of which I had not previously known.
