If you are a mystery buff, you will enjoy this story, with colorful characters and that backdrop of the American Southwest. While some of these imperfections may have appeared in the original work, others may have resulted from the scanning process that has been applied. This book is well written and has a great plot. It did take a bit of time to keep the characters straight at first. Unique characterizations of Canadian historical figures, revealing their humanity in a fascinating manner - loved it.
